What I learned
- Every single piece of plastic we have ever used is still on earth today... either in the ocean or in landfill.
- Over 850,000 tonnes of plastic ended up on Hong Kong landfills in 2022
What they do
- EcoDrive Hong Kong promotes the awareness and reduction of single use plastic in Hong Kong by developing films, textbooks, and communications campaigns to encourage awareness and reduction
- Produce educational materials which are currently taught at 39 schools
- Create impactful community campaigns such as #EnoughPlastic to encourage change
What they need
- For everyone to use less single use plastics!
- For everyone to recycle as much plastic as they can. See list of recyclable items here.
- If you're organising an event make it a Green EventĀ
