It was founded in 1993 as the Hong Kong Vocational Centre Charitable Trust, and incorporated in 2006 under a limited company, The Nesbitt Centre Ltd.
The Centre was established as a direct result of the lack of facilities for non-native Chinese speakers in Hong Kong. The Centre is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation and complies fully with the Social Welfare Department’s Service Quality Standards.
